5-Door Mahindra Thar Roxx Debuts on 15th August: Bigger, Bolder & Ready to Roll
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is the five-door version of the popular Mahindra Thar SUV. It was officially revealed in August 2024 and is set to be launched in India on 15th August 2024. The Thar Roxx will compete with the Force Gurkha five-door and will be a larger alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
Here’s what we know about the Mahindra Thar Roxx so far:
Design: The Thar Roxx gets a bolder design compared to the three-door Thar. It has circular LED DRLs, projector headlamps, circular fog lights, a new multi-slat grille, and fender-mounted ORVMs. It also gets dual-tone alloy wheels, black front door handles, a front camera, body-coloured rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar, square LED taillights, and faux skid plates.
Interior: Mahindra hasn’t revealed the interior of the Thar Roxx yet, but it is expected to be more spacious and comfortable than the three-door Thar. It could come equipped with a panoramic sunroof (single pane unit for mid-spec variants), larger touchscreen unit, dual-zone climate control, ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and more.
Engine: The Thar Roxx is likely to be powered by the same 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines as the three-door Thar, but possibly with more power. These engines will be paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes. The Thar Roxx is also expected to get both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.
Expected Price and Launch Date: The Mahindra Thar Roxx is expected to be priced from around Rs 15 lakh onwards (ex-showroom). It will be launched in India on 15th August 2024.
Mahindra is yet to reveal the official specifications and features of the Thar Roxx. So, stay tuned for more updates.
